Flat connections on a principal U(1)-bundle over a punctured 2-torus YABU Yoshiro 13th May (Thu) 15:00
In this talk, we will classify flat connections on a principal U(1)-bundle over a punctured 2-torus under gauge equivalence. For the classification, we introduce fluxes associated with a flat connection. While each flux does not always take integer-value, the sum takes integer-value; flux quantization. Using fluxes, we can construct a bijection from the moduli space of flat connections to (N+1)-torus, where N is the number of holes in a punctured 2-torus. |
