These days spectral method is becoming increasingly popular as a new technique for performing numerical tasks such as solving differential equations, or simply performing integrations.
This technique virtually takes over the previous techniques, namely FDM (Finite Difference Method), and FEM (Finite Element Method).
Here Gray-Scott Equations are presented as an example of the application of the method, to explain ir/regular skin patterns produced by some animals.
