Since Chenciner and Montgomery showed the existence of the figure-eight solution in the 3-body problem, a number of periodic solutions have been proved to exist by using the variational method. In this talk, we survey the theory and then show the existence of multiple periodic solutions in the 2n-body problem with equal masses.
